The outside of a home takes a beating from KC weather, and a few small jobs at the right time keep the expensive problems away. This is some of the highest value, lowest cost work I do. I keep it to single-story and ground-level work for safety, and refer roof and high-ladder jobs to the right specialist.

Single-story gutters and downspouts cleared so KC rain drains away from your foundation instead of into your basement.

Weather Seals & Caulking

Like-for-like porch and exterior light fixture swaps on existing wiring. Brand new wiring is a licensed electrician, and I will tell you which you need.

Honest Note

Where I stop and a specialist starts

Roof work, two-story and high-ladder gutter jobs, new exterior wiring, and structural fence or deck rebuilds are specialist or licensed work. I keep it safe and ground-level and point you to the right pro for the rest.

Exterior: common questions

Do you clean gutters on a two-story house?

I handle single-story gutter cleaning for safety. For two-story or steep-roof homes I will refer you to someone set up for that height rather than take a risk on your property.

Can you install a storm door or screen door?

Yes. Storm and screen doors are a standard job: hung straight, sealed, and adjusted so they close cleanly and do not slam or stick.

Can you replace my porch light?

A like-for-like fixture swap on existing wiring, yes. If you want a light where there was never one, that needs new wiring and a licensed electrician, and I will tell you before we start.

Do you repair fence gates?

Sagging gates, broken latches, and hardware, yes. A full fence rebuild or a structural post problem is a bigger job, and I will tell you honestly which one you have.
